We have had questions from Realtors® about why the “That’s Who We R” social media campaign assets do not include the Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) logo.
The NAR “That’s Who We R” campaign’s social media assets are not advertising real estate for sale or rent, so an equal housing opportunity statement/logo is not required. If however, a Realtor® feels that they want to include an equal housing opportunity statement in connection with the social media asset, they can include a statement in the accompanying caption text on social media.
If a Realtor® is somehow using the campaign assets to advertise real estate, then an equal housing statement would be required. The equal housing opportunity logo is not the only way to demonstrate the necessary EHO commitment. A statement or slogan can also be used, which can be included in the caption text accompanying the asset. If a Realtor® is using the campaign assets in this way, then the onus is on them to ensure they are complying with federal and state law.
